Welcome
Building on History is a project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council through Historic England, delivered by Heritage Lincolnshire in partnership with Nottingham Trent University and others.
The digital tool below is designed to help communities develop way to recognise their heritage in different ways like designation or plaques. We held workshops in 2022 and 2023 with different communities in Lincolnshire and Nottingham to explore diverse heritage.
Have a look below to learn about the project and the different ways people have recognised their heritage through Building on History and to use the tool yourself.
